Mr Nicholls gave a lecture about how and why the Avanti Horseshoe came about followed by a demonstration by Mr Spriggs with some hands on experience by those attending.
Fire Training 22/04/16
TFP doesn't just focus on the horseshoe making and the training side of running a farrier business. We also look at other skills that will be useful not just in the forge but outside of your job as well.
This is why we teamed up with Fire Risk UK Ltd to teach local farriers and members of staff from other small local businesses how to deal with fires.

Two Heads 13/11/15
A well attended event was held at Total Foot Protection Ltd (TFP) on Friday 13th Nov with Mac Head FWCF and Sam Head DipWCF from MNC Ltd (www.horseshoes.co.uk) who have over 75 years of horse shoeing experience between them.
The opening talk by Mac titled 'Ramblings of a worn out Horseshoer' was interesting and had the audience captivated and especially with the great photos of Mac career so far.
Then Sam delivered two presentations on pre shoeing assessments and the importance of walking and trotting the horse up and down before trimming and shoeing.
After the well known TFP lunch Sam did a practical demonstration of how to adjust the Vulcan Bar shoe and demonstrated how easy this is if you follow a couple of basic principles, which was followed by some of the delegates trying this out under Sams tutorship.
